Vista at home

I installed vista on my laptop and at home.

Over all, the user “experience” is enhanced on vista. I dislike some of the security measures but understand why they are there and consider them a good thing for end users.

Andrea pointed out that a lot of the enhancements that vista is touting are just “gimmicky.” This is true for the most part.

Stupid language bar

Just in case anyone else can’t get rid of the thing:
To close the Language bar (using Classic view in Control Panel):
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.
2. On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click Details.
3. Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
4. Deselect the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.
