First two days

The first two days of work have been hectic. I have had to learn a lot in a really quick amount of time. On top of all of that, there have been outside factors adding stress.

Yesterday was a crazy snow storm, the remnants of which are still all over the place. I had driven to work yesterday because I was cleaning out my desk and I wanted to take some stuff home. Unfortunately, the storm hit right when I had to drive home and it took me quite a while to get there.

Today, I made it in to work and things were supposedly going to be slow. Then I ended up being the only person covering the support line and it made things REALLY crazy.

They are shutting things down early here from the sound of things so I am going to go home around 4 p.m. rather than 5 p.m.

I am really enjoying the challenge of finding solutions to problems throughout the company with this job. I think that this was a great move.

The last day

I gave everyone a small gift today to signify what I think of them.

To Pete, the person who always stresses over minor details:
Pete

To Shaun, who claims that he is the second coming of Brad Pitt:
Shaun

To Dave (Lite) who usually has a messy desk:
DaveR

To Dave (Disco) who recently had a small house fire (in his bathroom):
Disco

There were a couple more, but I didn’t get the oppurtunity to take photos of them.

Today and tomorrow

Just these two days and then I will be starting my new job in IS. (Yay!)

The launch of the Wii has been insane, there are just so many cool features that they have put into this system. The games are fun and definitely unique.

Back to work for me!

Almost over.

So, next week will be my last week as an employee of the consumer service department.

Things are starting to wind down for me, my desk in my department is cleaner than ever. I have trained my fellow employees in doing the projects that I have been doing for a couple of years.

Because things are busy in my department right now, though, I haven’t had much time to post.
