Work was insane today for various reasons. The first half of the day I was working on my projects. The second half of the day was unexpected. We were very busy.
due to being stuck on a call I missed my first bus and so am late getting home again. I don’t know how late I am going to stay up tonight even though it is Friday.
I admit that many days I may not be the most efficient of workers. But today was the kind of day that proved to me that I can and will take over and get stuff done, thinking of all angles before even my supervisors do. I had all the answers to the questions that came up, solved any that I didn’t have and still managed to rack up more calls than anyone else.
Bah, the stress that I felt just shows me that I need to know more before taking the kind of job that requires that kind of action nonstop.
I finished The Fire Rose today. On to the next book.
I woke up this morning rather tired, but after some conversation with Squeek! I found that I felt awake and ready to face the day. Squeek had been baking overnight and made cupcakes out of ice cream cones. She sent these to work with me for the group that I work with.
I got to work and was very busy. I am working on a project that needs to be done tomorrow.
One treat happened though, they are upgrading the computers at work and provided me with a new LCD monitor. It is very nice and a welcome change from the old CRT that I was using.
Beyond that, I am making two posts today as I didn’t get the chance to upload last night.
Having run an errand after work I am now headed home. I should be arriving about a half hour later than normal…
Time to go back to my next book, The Fire Rose, Lackey again.
I was late for work today and then 5 minutes late for a meeting. I wasn’t however late for lunch…. Go figure XD
I was late for work because I took the local bus to the park and ride rather than drive. (I was low on gas.) Unfortunately, the bus that I take to Seattle left just before I arrived. That is what caused me to be late.
Work was busy, working on projects.
One of my co-workers had been on a trip to Peru and brought in some candies which were excellent. He is going to have more tomorrow, I will have to grab some for Squeek!.
The bus that I ride to Seattle from work was different today, it was supposedly a newer model. It wasn’t however more comfortable. I hope they switch back to the other bus.
It is amazing how much money people will spend on stuff on eBay…
I am in Seattle right now and am on the express home. Time to go back to my book.
